Lunch & Learn Junction Build & Material Resource Recovery Facility Tour
Event description
Join us for a guided tour and presentation on the current work NPDC is doing to reduce waste in the Construction and Demolition sector.
Dominique will take us through the Material Recovery Facility, Sorting Depot and Junction new build for a practical demonstration on how NPDC Construction Waste Plans are being put into practise.
The meeting site is The Junction (meet at wood sculpture) at 12pm.
Once we go through to the MRF the gate gets locked, so anyone late won’t be able to join the tour.
What to Expect:
You'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how your household recycling is sorted, baled, and sent off for processing.
Timing:
Arrive at least 10 minutes early so we can start on time.
The tour runs for about 1.5 hours.
You'll be met by a Sustainable Taranaki educator who will guide you to and from the Education Room.
The gate is locked during the tour—late arrivals may miss out!
Arrive early? Check out the Junction Shop near the parking area.
Parking:
Cars: Turn left into the main carpark when you arrive. Walk to the Pine Forest Sculpture near the Reuse Shop. A staff member in Hi-Vis will meet and escort you to the Education Room.
