Matariki Kirtan Healing Circle Celebration

Matariki is the Māori name for the cluster of stars also known as the Pleiades. It rises in mid-winter and heralds the start of a new year. Matariki means the ‘eyes of god’ mata ariki or ‘little eyes’ mata riki.

Its's a time of Aroha, Connection, Wairua, Whanau, Friendship, honouring our ancestors, Celebration and Gratitude for all.

Aroha Essence Festival and Goddess Gatherings by the sea bring to you...
a special Whānau friendly evening of soulful Kirtan, dancing, korero, craft and shared kai.

We will meet in our favorite seaside location overlooking the beautiful moana underneath the night sky.

Aroha Kirtan Duo seasoned kirtaners Dana and Aroha Te Awhina will guide us on a journey of Kirtan chanting mantra meditation to uplift our minds, bring inner peace and open our hearts.

These high vibrations will have you up dancing by the end of the evening as our goddess DJ plays us a few funky tunes.

We will have a shared kai with karakia. There will be a selection of herb teas, artesian water, kombucha and hot chocolate available.
