In this 3-day intensive unit, you will have the opportunity to consider the nature and impact of trauma in its various forms upon individuals, families, and communal groups. The unit provides you with a biblical and theological framework for understanding trauma and will help equip you to apply the principles of trauma-informed care and practice in ministry and professional settings. The focus will be on trauma experienced in an Australian context. 

Founded by Keith and Sarah Condie, the Mental Health & Pastoral Care Institute exists to resource churches and Christian believers alike, so that we can all be better equipped to understand mental health and to serve and love others well. The Institute provides biblically and psychologically informed training and resources about mental health and healthy relationships for churches and individuals.
