Mental Health First Aid: City East

Join us for a two‑day Standard Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) course designed to equip you with the skills and confidence to support someone experiencing a mental health problem or crisis.
What You’ll Learn
You will learn how to:
Recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health problems in adults
Respond to emerging or worsening mental health concerns
Use an evidence‑based action plan to approach someone safely and start a supportive conversation
Provide initial help and information
Encourage the person to seek professional or other appropriate support
After completing the course, you will become a qualified Mental Health First Aider (MHFAider), confident in providing mental health support when it matters most.
Course Details
Date: 8-9 October, 10am - 4pm each day
Duration: 12 hours total (2 days × 6 hours)
Location: Barr Smith South 2052, City Campus East, Adelaide University
Format: Face‑to‑face
Inclusions: Standard MHFA Manual, light snacks throughout the day, a break for lunch
Note:
A $5 refundable deposit needs to be paid at the time of booking. After you attend the training, the deposit will be refunded to you. If you do not attend the training, the $5 will not be refunded to you.
This course is for current Adelaide University students only. You will be required to enter your student ID at checkout.
