Event description

Session 6. Being an Incarnational Presence: Listening Like Jesus

May 13, 2025 in the Welborn Community Room at 11:15 AM

It’s been said the first duty of love is to listen. Attention is the rarest form of care. But if you’ve ever experienced it then you know how transformative (and incredibly rare) it is to have someone actually listen to you and see you. “When the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her” (Luke 7.13).

How do we see the people around us with the eyes of Jesus? How do we embody an Incarnational Presence. How can I, as a disciple of Jesus, reflect Jesus, listen like Jesus would listen, speak like Jesus would speak and engage in a way that has the aroma of Christ? How can we be our best when it matters the most?

Lord, teach us to listen. Lord, help us to see.
