Netball ACT LGBTQ 101 Awareness Training - Hosted by Pride in Sport

Netball ACT invites you to attend an LGBTQ 101 Awareness Training hosted by Pride in Sport!

This is an introductory session for anyone who is interested in learning more about the LGBTQ community and inclusion. This is an interactive session where questions are encouraged, and discussions are held in a respectable and safe environment!

By the end of the session participants will: 

- Understand the business case for LGBTQ inclusion and explain why it is important in a sporting context

- Understand some of the lived experiences and unique challenges for LGBTQ people and the impact to sporting organisations

- Understand the diversity of, and differences between sex characteristics, gender identity, gender expressions and sexual orientation

Learn some introductory actions individuals can take to create a more inclusive sporting culture

When: Tuesday 1st October 7pm-8.30pm

Where: Online - registered attendees will be sent a link to join the Zoom one day prior to the training

Cost: Free!

Who: Open to the wider netball community - including players, coaches, umpires, volunteers and other personnel!
