Event description

Our Guest Speakers for the August Parent forum is the House of Welcome talking on their Truth to be told and Work and Welcome Programs

During term 2 St Aloysius has participated in the Work and Welcome Program by having an asylum seeker participate in work experience at the College. This program assists people seeking asylum and refugees by providing empowering work experience and employment opportunities in supportive host organisations.

In attending this unique parent forum you will hear a story from the Truth be Told program. The Truth be Told is changing the conversation, replacing the current one-way dialogue and amplifying the voices of those seeking protection.  You will hear directly from a program participant of their experience.

You will also hear from a Work and Welcome past program participant who will discuss how entering into this program assisted them to find employment and establish themselves in Australia.

This is an evening not to be missed.  Limited seating (no walk ins).  From 6.15pm we will be serving attendees with a light supper from the House of Welcome catering program (limited to the first 135 tickets).  Come and join us for this special P&F Event
