Performance Breathing Workshop

Master your breath, master your mind. This workshop is designed to help you develop control over your stress response, improve endurance, and build resilience in high-pressure situations. No prior experience is required—just the ability to swim 100 meters.

What to Expect

  • A mix of theory and practical application in a pool-based environment
  • Hands-on breathwork training to enhance performance and manage stress
  • A guided ice bath experience to learn how to stay calm under pressure
  • A supportive and engaging atmosphere with like-minded individuals

What You’ll Learn

  • Fundamental breathing techniques for emotional regulation and stress management
  • Strategies to boost endurance and athletic performance
  • Breathwork for surf hold-down training and high-intensity situations
  • The science behind these methods and how to apply them in daily life

Workshop Schedule

📍 8:00 - 10:00 AM | Windermere Pool

  • Introduction to conscious breathing and stress management
  • Learn how to control your breath in challenging situations
  • Pool-based drills to test breath control, relaxation, and CO₂ tolerance
  • Experience dynamic breath-hold exercises in a controlled, safe environment
  • Work progressively—each drill builds confidence and awareness

📍 10:30 AM - 12:00 PM | Ice Baths & Recovery Breathwork

  • Nervous system education: understand stress responses and how to regulate them
  • Learn how to control key bodily systems using conscious breathing techniques
  • Experience the power of cold exposure—how to stay calm and in control under extreme stress
  • Apply breathing techniques to shift from high-intensity activation into deep recovery

What to Bring

✔ A short wetsuit or an old 3/2 is ideal (pool is heated, but you'll be in there for a while)
✔ Towel, water bottle & snacks. 
✔ Well-fitting goggles (spares available, but personal ones are best – no scuba masks)
✔ An open mind—this is a chance to connect, learn, and challenge yourself
