Albury 'Cancer, Balance & Wellbeing' Weekend Workshop 3rd & 4th May 2025
Event description
Practical, down to earth, useful and enjoyable!
This weekend workshop is designed specifically for men and women dealing with a cancer diagnosis - all cancers at any stage. We explore researched lifestyle practices that support healing and health maintenance, including the Ten Healing Factors of Radical Remission (Dr. Kelly Turner, US) and the 7 Essential Elements approach of The Gawler Cancer foundation (previously operating in Yarra Valley).
Our weekend programme combines teaching sessions, group discussions, guided Meditations and simple Qi gong exercise (by the river if weather allows). Loose comfortable clothing recommended 🙏
And we also consider cancer recovery stories - everyday people who significantly influenced their own health outcomes by:
- Meditation
- Anti-cancer Diet
- Exercise & Movement
- Healthy emotions/Healing emotions
- Power of the mind and intention
- Social Connection & support
- Spirituality and Faith, Living with meaning & purpose
This lifestyle approach to cancer is called the Integrative medicine approach. The Integrative model of care supports conventional medical treatments with researched lifestyle changes, complementary therapies and self-care aimed at both optimising long term health outcomes and preventing cancer recurrence.
Our weekend programme combines teaching sessions, group discussions, recovery stories, guided Meditations and simple Qi gong exercise (by the river). Loose comfortable clothing recommended.
And we have Kaye Ellis co-facilitating on this retreat. Kaye is an Albury local who has her own wonderful cancer recovery story to share and a wealth of experience.
