Event description

Walk with the Rangers through one of their favorite bird habitats within the Park and get the chance to spot a range of birds who utilise this diverse coastal area. Learn about how the Rangers look after birds within the Park with plenty of time for sharing questions and observations.

What to Expect:

  • General introduction to the local birds: Rangers will point out the different types of birds that inhabit this unique location. From beach nesting birds, migratory birds to threatened raptors, see how the different birds are using the habitat and hear about the conservation challenges for birds within the National Park.
  • Engaging activity for all ages: Play a game of bird bingo and be the first to spot all of the most common birds of the Pondalowie Bay area, and if we’re lucky a few of the rare ones!
  • Scenic Exploration: Enjoy a leisurely walk through the park’s picturesque landscapes, with ample opportunities to observe and appreciate the natural environment and its feathered residents. Dhilba Guuranda – Innes National Park is a significant conservation area and home to many threatened species of the Yorke Peninsula.
