Regional Drivers Road Safety Information session -Goolwa
Event description
 This session is directed at road users that drive on regional roads within South Australia.Â
Session includes:
- The Fatal Five causes of road trauma
- Fatigue
- Regional crash statistics
- Tips for driving safely on regional roads
- Driving with heavy vehicles
- Passenger responsibilities
- ANCAP safety ratings
- Personal property securities register
- Reporting to police.
Refreshments will be available from 10.00 am.Â
As an added bonus at the conclusion of this session Mary Safe, a passionate advocate for road safety for all - walkers, cyclists, and drivers will present information about the 'Dutch reach'. If you haven't heard of the Dutch Reach don't panic- you're not alone!
Mary's daughter Amy was a member of the Australian Women's Road Cycling Team based in Europe for training when in 2005 the group were out on a training ride in Germany an out-of-control car hit Amy killing her instantly and seriously injuring her 5 teammates. Mary is convinced the DUTCH REACH will save lives on our roads and she hopes you will come along for the "ride".
