SPECIAL RESOLUTIONS
The SCEG Committee we will be presenting two new motions to members for special resolution that the SCEG Rules of Incorporated Association (Rules) are changed to reflect:
1. "Surf Coast Energy Group" changes its name to "Surf Coast Environment Group".
This will more clearly and broadly encapsulate the work of the group regarding sustainability and how it pertains directly to the 4 E’s (Ecology, Energy, Economy and Equity). The word “environment” better represents this than the word “energy”.
This Resolution was also proposed at last years AGM however the change was unable to be implemented within appropriate timeframes due to logistical challenges and is being formally re-tabled at this AGM.
2. SCEG updates the Rules of our Incorporated Association to be inclusive of the Associations Incorporation Reform Regulations 2012.
The two changes to Rules 78 and 79 are outlines in detail below.
