Our tamariki deserve to grow up safe, supported, and empowered.
Join us for this free two-hour workshop designed to help parents, caregivers, whānau, and community members build the knowledge and confidence needed to protect tamariki from sexual harm. Led by experienced professionals from local sexual harm services, this practical workshop focuses on supporting parents and caregivers of early childhood and primary-aged children through healthy communication, and protective environments.

Note: Parking: 5, 30 and 60 minute parking is available at the 109 Salisbury Street entrance to the Hub.
Accessible carparking is also available for valid mobility parking permit holders.
On street parking is limited. The nearest paid carpark is at the Christchurch Casino (first hour free). Paid parking is also available nearby on Colombo Street.

Yes, registering helps us plan the workshops and ensures that we have sufficient room for everyone.
- Can I bring my tamariki to the workshop?
Due to the nature of the content and the workshop duration, we recommend that attendees arrange alternative care for tamariki during the workshop. Infants are welcome to attend with their parent or caregiver.
- I have an audience who would benefit from this workshop (e.g. sports group, church, ECE), can we work together to plan delivery?
Yes, we are happy to discuss with you the best way to engage with your community. We can run special sessions to suit your community.
- Will I receive take-home resources?
Yes, we will share our recommended resources and you will receive take-home resources.
- Who will run the workshop and where are they from?
The workshops will be facilitated by skilled professionals that work in local sexual harm prevention services. For this workshop your facilitators are from Stop.
- Is the workshop free and how long is it for?
The workshop is completely free of charge and will be two hours long.
