Join local author Lyndall Underwood for a special school holiday storytime, reading one of our favourite store books - Mornington Peninsula ABC: An Alphabet Adventure.

Mornington Peninsula ABC: An Alphabet Adventure is Lyndall’s debut children’s book, inspired by her family’s explorations around the region. During this event, she will guide us through the Mornington Peninsula from A to Z and everything in between.

Lyndall will read her book and share her latest experience, which was sparked by one of the pages from her book - a journey to the top of the Cape Schanck Lighthouse to whale watch.


After the reading, there will be a quick whale-themed craft activity.

Buy the book for $20 and have it signed by Lyndall on the day!

For ages 2-8 years. Families welcome.

Bookings essential! Please book in children only, adult tickets are not required.

Parent or caregiver supervision is required at this activity.

This event will be held within Seaford shop, Creek and Bay.

Please note the nearest toilet facilities are across the road on Broughton Reserve.

ABOUT Mornington Peninsula ABC: An Alphabet Adventure

Take a journey through the beautiful Mornington Peninsula with Mornington Peninsula ABC: An Alphabet Adventure. This local children's picture book showcases the region's stunning coastlines and rolling hills, featuring places like the iconic Cape Schanck Lighthouse, London Bridge, Flinders Pier, and the incredible Mud Islands, where you might even spot a Bronze Whaler Shark!

Authored and illustrated by locals Lyndall Underwood and Connah Brecon, this book features colourful illustrations, a coastal colour palette, and playful words, encouraging exploration of the local region and educating readers about its unique features.

About the Author

Lyndall Underwood, a proud local of the Mornington Peninsula, shares her insight of familiar locales, as well as some of the not-so-familiar places of interest. A life-long local, her childhood was filled with days spent by the boatsheds of local beaches and explorations of iconic landmarks such as London Bridge and Seawinds Gardens. Today, she's found her happy place on the family boat, always hopeful to catch a glimpse of the marine life in Port Phillip. With over 25 years of experience in marketing and product development, she's turned her passion for storytelling into her first children's book.
