SCULPT 2 - A queer ceramics course
Event description
SCULPT
Create, Embody, and Connect
A three-week clay sculpting course designed with a queer lens. A space where creativity and community come together. Led by Manuela Serje (artist & ceramicist) and El Wilcken (co-founder of Kaleidoscope Collective), this course welcomes all but is centered on queer experiences and self-expression.
Unlike typical one-off workshops, this immersive course guides you through every step of the clay process. From selecting the right clay and learning hand-building techniques to glazing and firing your own ceramic vessel. You’ll have the time and space to create big, intentional pieces, while also engaging in embodiment practices that foster connection and creativity.
Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, this is a chance to slow down, explore your artistry, and craft something deeply personal all while building community in a supportive, affirming space.
Tuesdays: 9th of July - 23rd of July | 6:30 PM – 9:00 PM | Rikota Studios, Marrickville
Price: $95 per workshop, attendees must attend all workshops to complete their course.
