SDD Milan #50 - Product Service Systems for positive impact

The 50th Service Design Drinks event -and the first in 2025- is dedicated to exploring how design can have a positive impact at different levels (from single touchpoint to system).

After an introduction to Sustainable Service Design, we start with what "positive impact" means at a product level, and then we move to systems.

This educational and inspirational event will provide an overview of concrete use cases and innovative methodologies, showing how to design services that create value for people, businesses, and society.

Meet the speakers:

Tom Peach - Product Director Consumer Technology & Wearable

Tom leads cross functional teams at the intersection of product strategy, design and development, crafting innovative, customer-centred products and experiences that stand out in competitive and emerging markets. His experience spans consumer technology including IoT and wearables, med-tech, FMCG and packaging, and he is deeply committed to creating products that people love while nurturing environments where teams can thrive and be proud of their work.

Dante Fusco - Expert Senior Design Manager, at Bain & Company

Dante is a hybrid designer with a strong focus on crafting impactful solutions that balance user needs with business objectives. His current work aims around setting and driving core design strategies to support multinational organizations across various industries, including Banking and Insurance, Healthcare, the Public Sector, and Transportation. From redesigning operating models and internal processes, from enhancing customer experiences to introducing new capabilities, he strives to deliver solutions that bring tangible results on companies' strategies and tactics.
Previously, he lived in Berlin, where he worked as a product and interaction designer in TelCo, Automotive, and Sports Media sectors. During this time, he focused mainly on creating products and experiences for both digital screens and physical spaces, always with the goal of combining functionality and innovation to provide concrete value for users and businesses.
Dante is a true supporter of communities and mentorship and believes in the power of knowledge sharing, that is why he is part of the ADPList.org mentorship program.

Marta Alves (she/her) - Service Designer

Marta is a service designer based in Milan, with a mixed background in Design, Industrial Engineering, and Education Management. Her recent work with consulting firm Studio Wé
focuses on design strategy and UX research for private and public-sector clients across North America and Europe.
She holds a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management from the University of Porto, a Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Product Design, and a Master’s Degree in Service Design, both from Politecnico di Milano.
She is a visual thinker, an optimist, and a team player.
