    Grown-ups are giving up books: should we pay them to read? With authors Robyn Annear and Martine Murray and librarian Maree Stephenson. They will be in conversation with Heather Whitford Roche.

    • Robyn Annear is the author of eight books of history, including Bearbrass, A City Lost & Found: Whelan the Wrecker’s Melbourne, Adrift in Melbourne and, most recently, Corners of Melbourne: The great orange-peel panic & other stories from the streets. She appeared in the award-winning 2022 documentary, The Lost City of Melbourne. In her podcast,  Robyn presents stories from Trove historical newspapers.
    • Melbourne-born Martine Murray lives in Castlemaine and is an award-winning children’s novelist and illustrator. The Last Summer of Ada Bloom is her first novel for adults.
    • Maree Stephenson co-ordinates Central Goldfields Library Services. She knows a lot about reading trends.
