A Taste of Egypt: An Evening with Mariam Youseff and Sisters!
Event description
Join us for a captivating evening with Mariam Youseff, as she shares her inspiring story of courage, sacrifice, and passion for Egyptian culture, food, and family.
Mariam, who once worked as a child specialist in Egypt, moved to Australia for the safety of her young family. Despite her credentials not translating in Australia, Mariam embraced her new life and has remained passionate about her roots. At this special social evening, she will open up about the challenges she faced while transitioning to life in Australia and how she has preserved her connection to her heritage.
Mariam’s passion for Egyptian food and culture will shine through as she takes us on a journey through her memories of Egypt. You’ll also get to hear about the role food plays in Egyptian family life, as she shares her experiences and stories about traditional dishes that are close to her heart.
