Event description

SOMA Connect provides holistic support through movement, breath mechanics, and connection practices laying foundations for experience, wisdom and awareness. This Offering will explore breath mechanics in relation to your breathing patterns, nervous system responses and Window of Tolerance. This experience is in a small intimate setting of maximum 7 attendees and will be joined with somatic and movement practices (see below). This is a Women's Only Event!

Ki Yoga is a meridian based yoga therapy practice. This wonderful and unique yoga uses traditional Hatha yoga, Martial arts and Shiatsu *Japanese massage. This practice is accessible for most if not all bodies, due to the amount of variations, modification and options available. We don't have to look the same to be doing the same, as indeed none of us are the same.

Yin Yoga is a slow practice with connection to our meridian lines *energy lines through body that relate to each organ in the body and connective tissue *fascia. This slow yoga practice enables us to go very deep within our own soma *body, and have a deeper look at what is within us. Yin yoga inevitably makes us more flexible and more restful with the long holds in poses that target specific tissues, organs, bones and joints.

Wayapa® is an earth connection practice that is based on ancient Indigenous wisdom that focuses on taking care of the Earth as the starting point for creating Earth Mind Body Spirit well-being.

Living in harmony with their environment is what sustained Australian Aboriginal people to be one of the world’s oldest, continuous living culture – for over 100,000 years!

Today, for most of us, we have become disconnected from our environment, from our tribe, from our food and from our Spirit. Through a combination of Earth mindfulness, narrative meditation, a series of physical movements and taking action to look after the planet, Wayapa® provides a sense of belonging to the Earth while creating holistic well-being.
