"That lyric was so good. I had to write it on my arm for later." - Academy Award-winning songwriter Glen Hansard

Mark Campbell's songs delve into love and loss, joy and heart rendering truth. Mark Campbell and The Ravens are releasing singles from their forthcoming self-titled debut album, due early next year. Recorded with ARIA-winning producer Jimi Maroudas (Tim Rogers, Kimbra, etc) it features Dave Williams (Augie March) on drums, Davey Lane (You Am I) on guitar, Kat Mear (Cash Savage and the Last Drinks) on violin, and Kylie Auldist on feature and backing vocals.

Previously in JJJ-darlings ‘Folding For Air’, and ‘Souls on Board,’ Mark has built a live “wall of sound” behind songs that “ooze honesty.” (Beat Mag) Accompanied by a horn and string section, the live band weave a rootsy blend of alt. country, rock, blues and folk that has seen them already support many great icons of music in Australia.

This is not a traditional gig — it’s a unique opportunity to witness the creative process up close, as Daisy and her band bring their sound to Sunderland Studio.
