In their claim to the Waitangi Tribunal in 2010-2011, Ngāpuhi Nui Tonu brought out a whole new depth of knowledge regarding Te Tiriti o Waitangi. They emphasised that He Whakaputanga, their 1835 declaration of sovereignty, was fundamental to understanding their intentions in embracing the treaty relationship. The vision they expressed is one that is positive for all in this country. Knowing this history enables deeper and life-giving insights into Te Tiriti o Waitangi and how we might respond to it.

Both webinars will be interactive with small group activities to enhance learnings.
