Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa - The Past
Event description
Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa FW25
The system is broken. The promises that were made to us are no longer being kept. We were promised that studying hard and working harder would secure a future worth having. But no matter how many jobs we obtain or how qualified we are, we’re all barely staying afloat.
Creatives refuse to work for conglomerates that care more about turning profits than cultivating the arts. This leaves us the margins and footnotes of every conversation - and we left a lot unsaid in our past show week.
This March’s Te Wiki Āhua o Aotearoa FW25 continues to focus on promoting and platforming emerging and early career artists from all areas of Aotearoa’s creative scene.

The Past
Discover the power of transformation through 'The Past', a collection that merges emotion, vulnerability, and reinvention. Designer OHN takes a deeply personal journey, drawing from nostalgia and past experiences to create bold, unapologetic pieces that challenge the boundaries of sustainability. Using second-hand materials, each design is a reinvention—a statement of strength and self-expression that reflects his past, present, and the emotions that shape him.
This collection is a celebration of what it means to evolve, turning history into an empowering expression of who we are and who we’ve become.
