Event description
The Thought Workshop: Part V - Ancient Rome
Ancient Philosophy Series for Home-Educated Teens
Join us as we continue our exploration of foundational texts of Western Thought. In this series, we will see how the major thinkers of Ancient Rome grappled with the big questions of life, love, meaning, responsibility, justice, and more.
Morning Session: Ancient Texts and Ideas
We will delve into the writings of some of the most influential Ancient Roman philosophers: Cicero, Seneca, Epictetus, Tacitus, and Marcus Aurelius.
Afternoon Session: Interactive Discussions
After lunch, we will discuss the ideas emerging from these texts, with an aim to stimulate and enhance critical and creative thinking. Students will be encouraged to express diverse viewpoints, fostering a spirit of inquiry and independent thought.
