    "Perth, the world’s longest city, stretches relentlessly along the western edge of Australia. A city celebrated as the sunny city, with its perfect weather, turquoise waters, and endless coastline. Yet, beneath this Australian dream lies something deeper – a disquieting reality, shrouded by the relentless march of urban sprawl. I journeyed from Mandurah to Two Rocks, over a hundred and fifty kilometers, to witness this sprawl firsthand, speaking with those who call this place home, residents, developers, academics and cultural custodians asking the question how did Perth become the longest city in the world? Is this a city deisgned for people or cars and developers? I ended this journey at Atlantis Beach, where the sands seem to whisper a quiet reminder – of the fragile balance we’ve disturbed and the values we’ve left behind, like a city that once was..."
