Trauma, Attachment & Trauma Informed Practice - Lismore
Description
Trauma, Attachment & Trauma-Informed Practice
One-Day Professional Development Workshop | 3 December | In-person
Are you working in education, community services, foster or kinship care, early childhood, health or housing? Join ThIS Training for an immersive, evidence-informed professional development workshop exploring the neurobiology of trauma, attachment and trauma-informed practice.
This practical, engaging one-day workshop is designed to strengthen your understanding of how trauma and disrupted attachment can influence brain development, emotional regulation, behaviour and relationships. You’ll develop practical strategies to better understand the needs behind behaviour, respond therapeutically and create environments that promote safety, connection and positive outcomes.
Drawing on the work of leading researchers and practitioners, including Bessel van der Kolk, Karyn Purvis, Gabor Maté, Dan Siegel and Judi Atkinson, the training explores the neurological and relational impacts of trauma, including developmental, complex and intergenerational trauma.
Through evidence-informed frameworks and practical applications, you’ll build your capacity to recognise trauma-related responses, understand the function of behaviour and integrate trauma-informed strategies into your everyday practice.
