FAQ'S

DO I NEED EXPERIENCE?

No experience is required and we only accept people who have never fought in the chosen challenge sport before. Training is fine (even if training for years) but you must not have officially competed in the challenge sport.

HOW MANY TRAINING SESSIONS?

We recommend no less than 3 training days per week, but ideally 5 sessions for the best outcome. Every Saturday during the challenge is a sparring day, try to make them when you can!

DO WE COMPETE AT THE END?

We train all our challengers with the goal to compete in an Infliction fight night at the end of the challenge. These fight nights are highly recommended and rewarding, but not a requirement.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN CHALLENGES?

Boxing is punching only, Muay Thai you will use your hands, knees and feet to strike and defend.

WHAT IF I DECIDE NOT TO FIGHT AT THE END?

What makes this challenge different to others is that after you've put the effort in for 8 weeks you have the opportunity to showcase your new skills to yourself and in front of your family and friends if you'd like to invite them. Although the majority of challengers do choose to fight it's optional and you don't need to decide until week 6.

WHAT DO I WEAR & BRING TO TRAINING?

For your training sessions, please arrive 5 minutes early, wear comfortable training clothes, bring a towel and all of your training gear with you to each session, wear comfortable running/training shoes.

WHAT GEAR DO I NEED TO BUY?

All your gear can be purchased from FightHQ. We will be sending you a $50 credit voucher for Fight HQ to help you get your training gear.

You will need the following equipment in your training kit:

  • Muay Thai Training Pack: Hand Wraps, Shin Pads, 16oz Gloves, mouthguard & groin guard (males only)
