WaterWise for the future: Introduction to irrigation and moisture monitoring in a mixed vegetable production system

Join North Coast Local Land Services at Pigface Farm to look at basic irrigation systems, soil moisture monitoring, and how to improve your irrigation scheduling decisions. 

Come and learn about: 

• The impact of irrigation and farm management practices on soil health and crop growth.  

• Understand crop water requirements. 

• Explore soil moisture monitoring, including installation and demonstration of soil moisture sensors. 

• Discuss irrigation scheduling, soil health principles and market gardening. 

• Learn practical tips for improving water use efficiency and irrigation performance.

• Farm tour, morning tea and lunch will be provided.
