This workshop equips Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA), Team Leaders and House Coordinators with knowledge and skills to assist their teams to support the health needs of clients with intellectual disabilities.

Key Learning Outcomes:

Promote preventative health care for the person and an awareness for how to advocate for reasonable adjustments for the person attending health appointments.
Building confidence in collaborating with GP practices to facilitate effective annual health assessments.
Play a proactive role in managing health plans and the persons health care goals
