Welcome to the V8 Sleuth Open Night at the 2025 Winton Festival of Speed this August!
Along with some fantastic racing at this years Winton Festival of Speed, V8 Sleuths very own Aaron Noonan will host a speakers night with some very special Legends from Australian Motorsport.
This years Special Guest will include,
Peter Xiberras - Team Principal of PremiAir Racing - Australian Top Fuel Drag Racing and Supercars Championship.
Jeff Grech - Best known for his role as the Team Manager for HRT in the 1990's V8 Supercars Championship but Jeffs Motorsport career spans over many decades including Drag Racing.
Denis O'Brien - Production Car Racer from the 1970's, relaying stories of racing against legends such as Brock and Moffat. Denis will show case 2 of his cars at the event including a very famous Ford Falcon Phase 3.
Ron Harrop - No introduction is required for Ron, former owner of Harrop Engineering, HDT Race Driver and brilliant engineer of all things mechanical in motorsport.
Norm Beechey - 1970 Australian Touring Car Champion in the Awesome HT Holden GTS 350 Holden Monaro and nicknamed the 'Original Showman' of Australian Motorsport. Affectionately, known as 'Stormin' Norman, from racing an early Holden Humpy PK751, to Neptune Racings EH Holden before he took the Ford Mustang to its very first Australian win in 1965. Norm raced a big 409 Chevy Impala and nibble 327 Nova just to round out a few of the beasts he had.
Russell Stuckey - Dunlop Motorsport Tyres Super Dealer. Russell has been in the business since 1972 and is the guru of all things Motorsport Tyres. What Russell doesn't know isn't worth knowing when it comes to racing tyres.
Terry Wyhoon - Team Principal of Image Racing - Terry raced Speedway before moving into and becoming the 1995 & 1996 AUSCAR Champion and back to back second placed NASCAR Champion. Terry moved into the Konica & Fujitsu V8 Touring Car Championships winning the 2011 Championship. These days he is the Team Principal of Image Racing feilding cars in the Super 2.
Make sure you come and watch a days racing with over 300 of Australia's best Race Cars at Australia’s Action Track - Winton Raceway the Racing Categories will include Historic Touring Cars from the 1960s through to the 1990s, with Group C&A, Group N, Historic Sports Sedans, MG and Alfa Racing, Touring Car Tributes, Formula Ford, Formula Vee and others and then join us for this fabulous night.

Tickets will be stickily limited to 250.
Various Finger Foods supplied and Drinks will be at bar prices.
Tickets will be available for purchase at $45 per head.
The action at the Winton Festival of Speed is just 2.5 hours from Melbourne, an hour from Albury / Wodonga, and a short 10 minute drive from Benalla with easy access off the Hume Highway following the signs at the Benalla exits. In addition to this, Winton Raceway also provides camping facilities for spectators and competitors to make it a weekend of supporting your racing habit. If camping is not your thing then don’t worry just check out all the available accommodation in the local area from Benalla to Wangaratta, Bright to Mansfield or just check out the Winton Raceway or Tourism North East for accommodation links. Enjoy a family picnic or pick up lunch in Benalla on the way or just see the various on track local food stands and trucks for any refreshments.
