Write on the Money is proudly presented in partnership by Helpmann Academy and Carclew and has been created especially for emerging artists and creatives from all disciplines.

This FREE workshop is designed to enhance your understanding of the grant process and equip you with the skills to write a winning grant proposal.

During the grant writing workshop you will gain essential tips, tricks and insights from successful applicants firsthand is not to be missed!

Discover the secrets to crafting an application that grabs the attention of the selection panel.

Benefit from the expertise of industry leaders from Helpmann Academy and Carclew, as they share valuable insights into the art of crafting a successful grant proposal and the doors it can open for advancing your career.

The panel includes Jane MacFarlane, Chief Executive Officer, Helpmann Academy and Joel Byrne, Funding Programs Coordinator, Carclew will offer their insights on what it takes to write a successful grant application.

The session includes a Q&A panel discussion with emerging artists – Sam Matthewman (University of South Australia graduate), Mary Angley (Flinders University graduate) and Sam Wilson (University of Adelaide graduate) – who have received support from Helpmann Academy and Carclew, followed by networking drinks.

  • The crucial elements of who, what, where, why, when and how – and getting to the point
  • How to define your project, its outcomes and why this needs to happen now
  • How to calculate the cost of your project and prepare a budget
  • The ins and outs of support materials
  • What it means to make your project viable


THIS WORKSHOP IS IDEAL FOR

  • For emerging South Australian artists, applying for grants with Helpmann Academy or Carclew or both!
  • It is strongly recommended you attend Write on the Money if you are considering applying for a Helpmann Academy Creative Investment Fellowship or a Carclew Project and Development Grant in 2024


WHO CAN ATTEND?  

  • South Australian creatives who are either 26-years and under, or who are eligible for Helpmann support.
