About Michael Miller

Michael Miller is the Executive Chairman of News Corp Australia, a role held since November 2015. 

His career in media spans more than three decades with experience working in senior executive roles in broadcasting, radio, digital marketing, out-of-home, sports rights and publishing categories, with operations extending to Australia, New Zealand and Asia.

Under Michael’s leadership, News Corp Australia’s publications reach four in five online Australians. In November 2022, News Corp Australia surpassed one million digital subscribers, marking the best-performing result of any publisher per capita in the world.

News Corp Australia’s diverse portfolio includes iconic brands and mastheads, including The Australiannews.com.au, Vogue Australia, taste.com.au and Sky News Australia.

Michael also serves as a director of REA Group, an investor in the leading property portals across Australia, South East Asia and India, with previous director positions at Foxtel, Fox Sports, Sky Television NZ, INMA, The Committee for Sydney and Unruly. 

His prior roles include CEO of the publicly listed APN News and Media (now ARN), CMO of News Limited, chairman of the Premium Content Alliance, and board positions at Australian Radio Network, Adshel, APN Outdoor and carsguide.com.au.

With a passion for rugby, Michael has sat on boards such as the Waratahs, served as SANZAR Broadcasters Chair, and held positions with South Australia Rugby and as Chair of the Adelaide IRB International Sevens. Beyond the boardroom, he dedicates his weekends to refereeing community rugby, reflecting his commitment to grassroots sports and community engagement.
