Coq Fest - A Bastille Day Party in the Bush

A French Feast in the Bush 

Join us at Wildwood for the next event in our long lunch series.

This event is a Bastille collaboration with Chef Ilyes Mendi (Michelin Starred and ex Rockpool) inspired by my dear grandmother, the ultimate party girl and believer in equality, liberty and friendship! 

The day will be one full of produce from our favourite local farmers along with tasty wines and artisan beers on tap, washed down with live music and other entertainment x factors in the lush surrounds of Wildwood's native bush and subtropical rainforests. 

Wildwood’s long lunches aim to showcase some of the region's best produce, collaborating with amazing chefs from around the world. Guests can expect great music, top-quality drinks, and incredible cuisine.

Tickets Include:

• A feast of local produce (menu below)
• Delicious arrival cocktails, with an open bar with local wines, and beers during lunch
• Live music and entertainment

French cocktails and beers on arrival
Some classic Wildwood starters cooked on the open flame - 
Terrines, Cheese Board, Crudietes w/ locally baked bread
Gougers w/ local in season truffles and a comte custard
A Wildwood Coq au Vin w/ mashed potato and season local vegetable gratin
Finishing off with croque en bouche and macaron desert towers

Bad Weather
Our reception hall is protected from the elements. If the event needs to be postponed, rest assured it will not be at your expense.

For campers, Bendeela Recreation Area is at the bottom of our road. Otherwise, we suggest visiting our local destination website Visit Kangaroo Valley  or one of our local accomodation agencies Suppercalla Private Properties, Kangaroo Valley Escapes and Kangaroo Valley Getaways. Wildwood is an inclusive place. Well-behaved pets are welcome in our 100 acres of unfenced native bush.

We have a car park for our guests and a bus service that can be purchased as an add-on.
