Event description

Two of the South Coasts' best acts are combining their album and single launch shows for a huge night of live music at Smokey Dan's Tomakin. Come along and experience The Spindrift Saga and Corey Legge (with his band) in full force as they share their latest music and favourites from their back catalogue. With special guests to be announced.

THE SPINDRIFT SAGA

Batemans Bay and Moruya locals, The Spindrift Saga will be launching the final single from their sophomore album 'Rubble and Stone'. Renowned for their explosive live shows, “catchy rhythms, bright licks” and huge alt funk-rock sound, The Spindrift Saga “have crafted a truly unique sound best described as electrifying”. Over the course of a decade, this act has gained a large underground following and accumulated a long list of achievements. Touring extensively, The Spindrift Saga have supported the likes of The Living End, Thirsty Merc, The Rubens, Kingswood and many other music industry heavyweights as well as travelling overseas to perform a run of sold out shows in Japan. To date they have released two highly acclaimed studio albums and an EP, gaining airplay around Australia.

COREY LEGGE BAND

Bega-born, Wollongong-based singer-songwriter Corey Legge will be launching his highly anticipated 4th studio album ‘Moment in the Sun’. Corey will be performing with his 3-piece band, consisting of Adrian ‘Red’ Herbert on drums, Matt Crawford on bass, and Corey on guitar and vocals. Performing a unique mix of blues, rock and alt-country, Corey will be showcasing the songs off his new album and a handful of unique covers. Recently described by Ash Grunwald as a “phenomenal guitarist with a great voice’’, Corey was just announced as the winner of ‘Most Popular Musician or Instrumentalist’ in the 2024 Australian Country Music People’s Choice Awards in Tamworth. Corey has also been described by ABC Country as a ‘’national treasure in the making’’ and has been taking the blues festival circuit by storm with stand-out performances at Echuca-Moama Winter Blues Festival (VIC) and Blues at Bridgetown (WA).
