Cornish Conversations - Teen Mental Health Matters: For Parents and Carers
Event description
We are delighted that Dr Sarah Barker, a clinical psychologist for almost 20 years, will discuss teen mental health matters for parents and carers. Although aimed at secondary parents, it will be of interest to all families.
Dr Sarah Barker worked in student wellbeing leadership in a secondary school for many years and has been at Black Dog Institute for over a decade. Sarah’s passion for evidence-informed mental health change makes her a sought-after speaker and she facilitates numerous presentations and workshops to schools, organisations, caregivers, and health professionals across Australia each year.
She also contributes to the development of evidence-based educational programs and e-health products, notably the award-winning Youth In Distress: Managing Suicidality and Self-Harm program.
