Dear Community Members,
We are really excited to announce our next event Corruption Prevention - Finance's role beyond the numbers presented by the Independent Commission Against Corruption's Barry Davidow, Senior Corruption Prevention Officer.
Barry is a Senior Corruption Prevention Officer with NSW ICAC. His work entails considering the corruption prevention aspects of investigations, providing advice, writing ICAC publications, delivering presentations and training and undertaking projects to enhance integrity and deter corruption in the NSW public sector and local government. He is a Chartered Accountant, a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Professional Fellow of the Institute of Internal Auditors and has degrees in tax law, commerce and accounting.
The topics of his presentation include:
Monitoring beyond actual versus budget.
Probity and conflicts of interest.
Segregation of duties complications.
Corruption cases.
The event will be held in-person and online (via Teams). For those who attend in-person, registration and light breakfast will commence at 7:30am.
Places are strictly limited due to the size of the venue.
This event will be open to sector members, regardless of your location across the state. We welcome our state, local, and federal public sector members and the university sector to join us.
