Costume Making for Day of the Dead: 12-25 ONLY

Costume Making Workshop to celebrate the day of the dead! Bring your glitter, your goth, your glam—and anything in between! Join a vibrant, hands-on costume-making session using found and upcycled materials. Whether you're prepping for Day of the Dead, Halloween, or our upcoming 31st YARC Live, this is your chance to create something bold, expressive, and uniquely yours.

Open to All This workshop is not limited by age—everyone is welcome to join, regardless of experience. Whether you’ve never sewn before or you’re a DIY costume veteran, we will guide you through the process with warmth and imagination.

What to Expect

• Upcycle old clothes and materials into wearable art

• Use glue sticks, pins, and sewing machines to construct your look

• Explore textures, colours, and styles—no rules, just creativity

• Draw inspiration from cultural traditions, fantasy, or your own flair

Let’s Make It a Movement If this session is a success, we’ll be looking to run more costume-making days in future, so come help shape the next wave of wearable wonder.

Our friendly and experienced staff will be on hand to support and guide participants throughout the workshops, ensuring that everyone feels confident and comfortable throughout the process.

Our workshops at YouthARC have limited spots and can be quite popular. To minimise the number of people missing out, please be mindful of others and only book the number of tickets you need. If you have booked a ticket and can no longer attend, please cancel your booking or contact us on 0429 859 877, so we can offer your spot to someone else on the waitlist. 

A member of the YouthARC team may give you a call or TXT to confirm your attendance a few days prior to the workshop.
