Born in New York and raised on a steady diet of freestyle, hip hop, new wave, no wave, and punk, Jen DM channels a deep love for sweat, soul, and rebellion into a sound that lives at the intersection of queer desire and dance floor liberation. As a young queer adult, she was deeply influenced by the legendary Body & Soul parties in TriBeCa, where she experienced the power of house and disco in building community and connection. That early exposure sparked a lasting commitment to the sounds and culture of queer house, techno, and club music. Jen is one half of the electropop duo Hi Fashion, whose decade-long international run included high-voltage tours and TV/film syncs that brought their glittery, gender-bending music to the masses.
