Coven
Event description
Coven - women and witchcraft through song, story, and light.
The witch - powerful woman or wicked mastermind? Join Gente, gente! As they uncover the history of the witch through a distinctively operatic lense. Fusing famous works of classical music with poetry, prose and historical text, Coven delves into the cultural legacy of the witch - a figure both feared and revered, still haunting our imaginations today. Featuring Hilana Alouani-Roby, Lucy Bailes, Sarah Cherlin, Samanta Lestavel, Joanna Dionis Ross, Naomi von Senff and Laura Scandizzo.
Including shadow puppetry by Spark Sanders Robinson from Light’s on Theatre and accompaniment by Nathaniel Kong, Coven is a multidisciplinary live performance for both new and returning classical music audiences.
Whether you're a seasoned opera lover or a curious newcomer, prepare to be bewitched.
