The COVID-19 Pandemic and the Social Sciences
The Academy is organising a special event to mark its 50th Anniversary to be held online on Friday morning 10 September, 8.45am-12.15pm. It will be opened by Prof. Jane Hall, ASSA President.
The event is being organised to celebrate ASSA’s 50th Anniversary, and as an ASSA contribution to Social Sciences Week.
The symposium will include three moderated panel sessions including Q and A. The three panel sessions will discuss the challenges and lessons of the COVID-19 Pandemic:
- What have we learned from the COVID-19 pandemic?
- What health policy and medical strategies will help us emerge from the COVID crisis?
- What are the political, social, psychological, moral, ethical, health, and other challenges we face in the “new normal” of living in a world of uncertain pandemic futures?
