Cowboys & Country day at Historic Rivermill

Cowboys & Country day at Historic Rivermill on Saturday 5 December, from 8am to 3pm. It's a western festival on the banks of the Coomera River at Mount Nathan in the Gold Coast Hinterland, half an hour from central Gold Coast and an hour from Brisbane.

All day

- Line dancing: join in, no partner needed

- Whip cracking, with demonstrations through the day

- Mechanical bull: $10 a ride, or $5 if you follow us on Instagram

- Horse rides: short led rides for all ages

- Animal feeding with the alpacas and the rest of the yard

- Turtle feeding down on the river jetty, $12 a person

- Market stalls from local growers and makers

- Jumping castle and kids' corner

- Café and barbecue, with breakfast on and lunch from midday

Entry is free. Parking is $5 per vehicle, payable on arrival.

Bring the family, bring your boots, and make a Saturday of it by the river.
