Event description

Our Blended Learning CPR Course options offer a dynamic and flexible approach to CPR training, combining the convenience of online learning with the essential hands-on skills practice in a classroom setting. Blended learning integrates the best of both worlds, allowing participants to acquire knowledge at their own pace through interactive online modules while also providing hands-on practice and guidance from certified instructors during in-person sessions.

How Blended Learning Works:

Blended learning merges online learning with face-to-face instruction, offering a comprehensive and efficient way to learn CPR skills. Participants begin by completing interactive online modules, which cover essential theoretical (didactic) knowledge, including CPR techniques, AED operation, basic life support (BLS) procedures, first aid protocols, and pediatric CPR guidelines; depending on which course you require.

Following the completion of online modules, participants attend an in-person skills session conducted by our experienced instructors. During this session, participants engage in hands-on practice, receive personalized feedback, and demonstrate competency in these skills, under the guidance of instructors.

Courses Offered:

The following Blended Learning courses encompass a variety of specialized courses tailored to meet the diverse needs of participants:

  • CPR/AED & First-Aid: This course focuses on teaching participants how to perform CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) techniques and effectively use an AED (automated external defibrillator) in emergency situations. Participants learn to respond confidently to cardiac emergencies, including adult, child, and infant CPR procedures.  The First-Aid portion equips participants with essential first-aid skills to respond promptly and effectively to various medical emergencies, including bleeding, burns, fractures, seizures, and allergic reactions. Participants learn to assess situations, provide initial care, and minimize the risk of further injury or harm.

** NOTE: The online portions of the courses below have an additional fee separate from the skills pricing you'll pay for here. **

  • BLS Provider: The American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider Course is designed for healthcare professionals and individuals requiring advanced CPR training. It covers advanced CPR techniques, airway management, ventilation, and the use of specialized equipment in life-threatening situations.
    • Participants must first complete the Heartcode BLS online course.
  • Pediatric First-Aid & CPR/AED: Specifically tailored for licensed childcare providers in California, this EMSA required course focuses on pediatric CPR techniques and first-aid procedures for infants and children. Participants learn to recognize and respond to common pediatric emergencies, including choking, drowning, allergic reactions, and febrile seizures, ensuring the safety and well-being of young children under their care.
