CHARITY OF CHOICE
Our charity for this event is The Shelter Collective. Their mission? To provide safe shelter for all. They are a community-driven collective with the goal of planning and delivering realistic and accessible housing solutions that improve affordable housing availability for all people, regardless of their circumstance.
This is a local charity meeting local needs. They rely completely on donations as they have not received any government funding. Your donations and support by attending this year’s CQLA Charity Ball will have a tangible result.
This is a charity that meets a greater cross-section of our community – established for our young, old, women affected by gendered violence, those who are sick etc.
There is so much wealth in Rockhampton, but there is also great need. Rockhampton has one of the highest rates of homelessness and housing stress in the State! We are privileged to be in a position to assist those in need. Your attendance and generosity will assist in enabling The Shelter Collective’s next project come to fruition, and in turn – making a difference in the lives of vulnerable individuals and families right here in Central Queensland.
There will be plenty of fundraising on the night with inclusive options so that everyone can be involved! Help us, help the community by attending and supporting this event! We hope to have the biggest Charity donation the CQLA has raised yet! See you there!
