Crack That Whip – The DEVO Tribute Show perform their final Brisbane show for 2026 at Mirrorball Ministries, Friday November 20!

It will be a whip cracking night of high energy entertainment when the five Crack That Whip boys perform a truly authentic rendition of the DEVO catalogue, celebrating the music and stage performance of this iconic new wave band.

You’ll hear a multi analogue synth assault on DEVO classics including Girl U Want, Beautiful World and the legendary Whip It, along with the twin guitar attack of early punk rockers such as the pulsating Uncontrollable Urge and Gut Feeling.

With all songs performed in appropriately devolved fashion, you will be transported to a time from the early 80’s, revelling in the music and vision of one of the most creative and innovative bands of the new wave era!

Also featuring on the night will be alt 80s DJ sets from Kristin Black of Heyday 4ZZZ and Madame Æ to perfectly set the mood and encapsulate the vibe of the era.
