1. Visit to Historic Saltbush Carbon Sequestration Site (10:00 am – 11:30 am)
Step into the paddock and explore a 20+ year-old carbon sequestration site with Professor Richard Harper (Murdoch University). Learn how saltbush integrates into farming systems, what outcomes have been measured, and the potential market opportunities it creates. Hear the stories behind the research, see the numbers in action, and enjoy a relaxed morning tea on-site.

Facilitated by Richard Brake, the workshop will dive into:

• Opportunities to diversify profit through carbon farming

• Challenges and risks to be aware of

• Planning and tools to fit carbon into your farm business strategy

The day will finish with a sundowner session, a chance to share ideas, and enjoy good food and a drink together.
