🎤 Host: Will Sloat, Account Manager at Checkmate
Will has spent the last 3.5 years helping organisations reduce risk and improve candidate experience in the often-overlooked world of pre-employment screening. As an Account Manager at Checkmate, he works with businesses across Australia to ensure their background checks are seamless, compliant, and candidate-friendly.
With deep expertise in global screening practices and compliance, Will is passionate about turning what’s traditionally been a hiring hurdle into a positive part of the candidate journey—and delivering exceptional customer support along the way.

Rebecca Coles-Reid, Senior Recruitment Partner at Journey Beyond
Rebecca brings a wealth of experience in end-to-end recruitment, labour relations, and talent programs across a diverse mix of industries. In her current role at Journey Beyond, she leads corporate recruitment nationally and collaborates closely with the HR team to strengthen the company’s EVP and hiring strategy.
From rolling out structured Graduate and Apprenticeship pathways to designing referral programs and refining recruitment policies, Rebecca is focused on building processes that are both strategic and human.
She’s also held senior roles at Jungheinrich Australia and Flinders Port Holdings, known for enhancing recruitment systems and improving talent pipelines. Outside of work, Rebecca is committed to community impact, volunteering with the Mother’s Day Classic committee.
