Description
Monthly from 2pm-5pm - Every 4th Sunday through November
Starting Sunday 26 April 2026
Join us for a warm, welcoming afternoon designed for queer creatives of all kinds. This monthly gathering is a sober, neurodivergent‑friendly, LGBTIQA+ inclusive space where you can bring your craft project, try something new, or simply enjoy the gentle rhythm of making alongside community.
Bring whatever you’re working on. It could be knitting, crochet, collage, junk journaling, art journaling, photography, writing, embroidery, music, or any other creative hobby or join the activity provided by ARC Studio. Our first session features collage.
There’s no expectation to talk, share, or explain your work. You’re welcome to participate quietly, chat with others, or simply enjoy the atmosphere. These sessions focus on the process of making art, exercising creativity, and being mindful. All artistic abilities and all skill levels are celebrated here.
What to Expect
A friendly, sober, queer‑affirming space
Optional sharing and conversation
A chance to meet other crafty queers
Space to exchange resources, patterns, tutorials, and inspiration
A monthly creative ritual just for you
Everyone is welcome
Allies are welcome, with the understanding that this space centres queer experiences and safety. Allies are invited to join us with care, keeping in mind that this space centres queer voices and isn’t a place where queer participants are expected to explain or educate others about queer experiences.
Investment
Donations for drinks and refreshments are welcome, or feel free to bring a plate to share. All contributions go directly toward sustaining the group.
