If you are new to astrology but oh so interested to learn more, this is the place to start. Sousa is one of New Zealand's highly respected astrologers and a graduate of Kepler College of Astrological Arts & Sciences in the USA. She is a passionate and insightful interpreter of the signs and seasons of the sky. This one-day event explores the fundamentals of natal chart interpretation in a relaxed and fun learning environment. Bring your chart and the charts of loved ones, and buckle in for the ride.

What will I discover about astrology?

  • A brief history of astrology.

  • Birth chart orientation.

  • An introduction to the meaning and symbolism of the houses, signs and planets.

  • An introduction to aspects.

  • Interpretation.

  • Where to go next to keep learning.

What happens next?

  • You will leave the workshop knowing how to read the basic layout of a birth chart and make beginner interpretations. Β

  • You're ready to begin independent and guided studies in astrology.Β

  • You can join the Astrology Cafe sessions to learn more in a fun and relaxed environment.

What to bring:

  • You will need to obtain a copy of your birth chart before attending the workshop.

  • If you do not have a copy, please emailΒ theplanetmechanic@gmail.comΒ with your birth date, birth town/city/country, and a really accurate birth time. Β

    • Where to get your birth time:

      • A baby book with memorabilia.

      • Parents memory (less reliable).

      • Plunket Book (NZ).

      • Birth certificates in some countries and states, but not NZ.

      • Medical records from your birth. You can formally request a copy of these and the birth time will recorded. If you were born in hospital and the hospital is still there, there is a very good chance of finding the record. Ask to talk to patient records and follow their lead. You are not required to disclose the purpose of requesting your medical records.
