Create a Book Together Workshop

Dive into the creative process and help shape the sequel to Finding Grace Kimihia a Grace!

Join local author Emma Hinton and illustrator Nicky Hartley for a hands-on workshop where you'll create and collaborate on Seeking Will, a bilingual story about a boy and his dog navigating a storm.

Start by collecting natural treasures, then gather in a creative circle to craft the words and abstract painted backgrounds that will form the book’s illustrations. Use natural pigments to paint your own page and transform it into a unique book to take home.

As a participant, your name will be printed in the published book, and you’ll receive a copy of Seeking Will once it’s released.

Bring along: Your imagination, a love of stories, and a supervising caregiver.

Celebrate creativity and connection at this magical workshop for tamariki and whānau.
