Event description

Make your own house shaped pendant with local Ipswich artist Rebekah Walkarden. Rebekah will introduce you to the fundamental jewellery skill of saw piercing which you will use to make your own simple pendant from copper. All equipment and materials are provided in this fun casual workshop.

Rebekah Walkarden (nee Harden) is an emerging multidisciplinary artist and curator. Her work spans both sculptural and two dimensional forms often employing glass, metal and found objects to tell autobiographical and family stories. Through employing the hyper personal she seeks connection with universal themes of family, loss and memory. Rebekah exhibits her work in both regional and university galleries. She has a home studio with aspirations to rent a studio in her local city of Ipswich in the coming years. In April 2025 Rebekah will be undertaking a residency at the Ipswich Art Workshop.
