In this workshop you will learn why pollinators are important to our food system and what you can do to attract them into your garden. Melinda will share tips for landscaping to create habitat and food sources for pollinators, her top bee friendly plants and the benefits pollinators bring to your garden. Learn how to select the best plants for your garden covering annuals, perennials, nectar, host and edibles
How (and why!) to avoid pesticide use
How to creat supplementary habitat such as a native bee hotels
Why increasing pollinators in your garden will mean more abundant harvests for you!

About Your Teacher:

Melinda is an experienced gardener and educator of more than 30 years. In that time she has kept lots of plants alive but also managed to lose a few :) She is a qualified Garden Coach and (on-the-way-to-being) a qualified Permaculture Educator. Her mission is to help as many people to make gardening simple so they can enjoy it as much as possible, no matter what size garden or how much garden experience they have.
